The red carpet has been rolled out, and awards season is officially underway. Many of you got a glimpse into my Golden Globes prep on Instagram last month, and asked for more details on my glam routine.
• Workout – While I try to keep my fitness regimen consistent, during awards season, I’m especially conscious of what I’ll be wearing and plan my workouts accordingly. If I plan to wear a sleeveless dress, I concentrate more on my arms during my workout the day before. If my outfit includes a short dress, I incorporate more leg moves and squats.
• Meditation – This is a key part of my daily routine, even if it’s just five minutes when I focus and quiet my mind. Typically, I concentrate on a colour and set intentions such as clarity, peace, calmness and love. I focus in on these intentions and breathe. Lately, I have also been enjoying Kundalini meditation.
• Spray tans – If I feel like I need a little colour, I’ll get a natural spray tan. Not only does this give me a little extra coverage, but it also allows me to achieve the bronzed look I want without the sun damage.
• Moisturiser – Maybe it’s from all the heaters running, but my skin always seems to be driest in winter. I keep moisturised by using rich soufflés and body butters. I also love Epicuren After Bath Moisturiser, Rodin Olio Lusso body oil and coconut oil.
