It’s pretty challenging to stay healthy around the holidays, especially when there are so many amazing snacks everywhere, so I give myself some leeway around that time of the year. Why deprive yourself when it’s so fun and the food is so wonderful? My advice is: If you’re going to one Christmas party, have fun. If you’re going to five, then pick one party where you’re going to go all-out.
My family makes Christmas casseroles, potatoes au gratin with loads of cheese, flour, cream…you name it, so I kind of just remember to pick and choose the things I decide to put on my plate. You just have splurge a bit during the holiday season, but I still want to fit into my party dresses.
