- Body-Weight Squat: Face your mum at arm’s length, with your feet a bit wider than hip-width apart. Grasp her forearms and lean back (as she does the same). Squat down until your thighs are pretty much parallel to the floor. Hold for a few seconds, before repeating a dozen of times.
- Triceps Extension: Facing your mum, place your right foot in front of your left one and hold one end of a resistance band in your right hand (while your mother holds the other end in her left hand). Bend forward with your hips slightly bent and slowly pull back the band by straightening your arm. Repeat a dozen times, before switching arms. Don’t forget to keep your abs contracted at all times.
- Lunges: Face your mum at arm’s length and clasp her hands. With your right leg first, lunge forward (while your mum lunges backward with her left leg). Then, reverse it, this time lunging your right leg backward (while your mum lunges forward with her left leg). Repeat a dozen times and switch legs.

Take A Beauty Break
Whether it’s passing down recipe ideas or simply licking chocolate off the spoon, cooking with mum is always fun! Why not change it up a little, this Mother’s Day? - Half an avocado
- 1 tbsp. of organic honey
- 1 tbsp. of Greek Yogurt
Instructions: Mash and mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Once it has reached a smooth consistency, spread a thick layer of the mix onto your face (make sure you’ve cleaned your skin beforehand using a facial wash). Remove the mask with a warm wash cloth after approximately 15 minutes. Finish off with a moisturiser for that super soft feeling!

Yoga is not only a great way of sneaking in a bit of relaxation and bonding time with your little one, but also strengthening those muscles. If your baby can hold his/her head up without assistance, then taking them with you to the yoga or Pilates studio is not a problem. In fact, babies love to do a bit of gym with their mums. You might even get a laugh from your mini-me, as you shout out a peek-a-boo in-between your downward facing dogs!
Go For A Dip
Unfortunately, the grey weather isn’t inspiring us to head outdoors. But, that doesn’t mean you and your baby have to be stuck inside the whole day! Why not head to the local pool and give your little one their first swimming lesson? If bathtime already has them cooing and laughing, then an hour at the pool is sure to put a huge smile on their face. It’s a fun way to bond with your baby and even squeeze in some time at the pool for yourself!
