Weekly Workout: Tone Your Whole Body with Weightlifting

The 3 Position Row

  • Part/s of the body worked: Everywhere (especially back)
  • Level: Beginner – Advanced
  • Equipment needed: Barbell
  • Type of exercise: Resistance

Step 1
With your back straight and a slight bend in the knee, take an overhand grip on the barbell.

Step 2
Keeping the back straight and the head up, pull the bar in towards the lower part of the stomach as you exhale.
This is position 1.

Step 3
Inhale as you slowly lower the bar back to the starting position.

Step 4
As soon as the bar reaches starting position, exhale and pull the bar to just under the bust.
This is position 2.

Step 5
Inhale as you slowly lower the bar back to the starting position.

Step 6
As soon as the bar reaches starting position, exhale and pull the bar to the upper chest.
This is position 3.

Step 7
Inhale as you slowly lower the bar back to the starting position.

Step 8
Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
